![]() Resident Evil 5 was a decent experience with another person.Įarly on, I thought the co-op would add a lot.Įventually, though, it became a slog, even with a friend. Horror games are typically better alone, but it works for action/horror. Part of my problem with the crafting, though, is the insidious microtransaction inclusion.Īny game that costs 60 bucks shouldn't need microtransaction support.Ĭome on, that works for F2P games, but not AAA products.Įarning the in-game currency felt like playing an iOS game. They can go crazy on co op if they want, but they need to separate both experiences better concerning gameplay.Įven then, the way Visceral handled co op is a thousand times better than anything Capcom has tried with RE for example.ĭealing with this game's problems was pretty hard.Įven the classic horror elements felt half-baked.Īll of the encounters with human enemies suck.ĭon't even get me started on the boss fights. Mainly, make enemy balance (health, placement and numbers) on single player more similar to DS1 and 2. And frankly, make side quests more meaningful or just ditch then altogether. The first half of DS3 is classic DS as far as setting goes. Enemy balance on DS3 is a little fucked even on single player. In DS 1 and 2 enemy balance was perfect, specially on 2. ![]() DS3 only disappointed me because to accommodate co op they had to make enemies bullet sponges. ![]()
